PM Music & Academy Events present another Mainstage O2 ABC showcase of emerging Scottish Artists, this time headlining the rapidly rising The Reason from Airdrie with support from Fools on the Frontline from Grangemouth, Royal Thieves from Cumbernauld, The Novacs from North Lanarkshire, The Number 9s from Edinburgh and Parliamo from Perth … the next showcase will be in September so if you are an artist interested in joining future lineups on the mainstage then send music links and a phone number to info@pmmusic.co.uk … come and support your local music scene as these guys tear up the legendary O2 ABC Glasgow’s mainstage.

Hailing from Airdrie, The Reason are a four-piece band who love playing our music to people who care. Even to people who don’t care. We pride ourselves on making music which doesn’t belong to one specific genre, but is more of a depiction of who we are as people.

We’ve been playing shows in Glasgow for the past year or so and have been fortunate enough to play in some amazing venues such as Stereo, St. Luke’s, and Oran Mor among many others.

We are a particularly ambitious band and we’re always looking to further ourselves. Following the release of our debut EP ‘Initiation’, we’re looking to showcase what we’ve recorded to as many people as possible as well as constantly working on the next product.

Fools on the Frontline have exploded onto the Glasgow scene in a very short space of time. 2016 saw them debut at Cottiers Theatre with PM Music and quickly moved through great venues such as the Record Factory, Classic Grand , and ABC2. The year was finished off in style with another milestone performance supporting the awesome UTAH SAINTS at New Year. Fools on the Frontline launched their debut album in February 2017 and songs from that will be a huge part of the show.

We’re Royal Thieves, a band of four best friends doing what we love best; playing music. We are an alternative/pop rock band who just love playing. We’re an up and coming band hoping to make it big and follow our dreams.

The Novacs are a recently established four piece alternative rock band, from North Lanarkshire, who have already made a strong impression on Glasgow’s music scene. Although members Reiss Harrison (vocals & rhythm guitar), Sam Cane (lead guitar), Ewan McDonald (bass) and Andrew Haxton (drums) are only 18 years old, they are remarkable and confident musicians with exciting potential. Inspired by The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys and The Libertines, their sound embraces punchy bass lines, crunchy guitar riffs, compelling vocal lines and uplifting harmonies. These elements, combined with raw, thought-provoking lyrics and strict, stiff percussion are what make you sit up and take notice of what you are listening to.

The Number 9s will lop your heads off and melt your faces with heavy drums, dark, nasty bass-lines, bluesy guitar, and a mesmeric front-man…

“The incessant drums are part of this band’s signature sound, just constantly propelling the songs along. With the drums, the bass holding it together, the almost bluesy guitar sometimes mixed up with just great riffs and Stephen’s punchy vocals there’s a whole load of energy to the songs! Sometimes they venture into an almost menacing sound but atmospheric guitar pulls it back from ‘The Dark Side’!”  Sandie Mcghie 7ahead music

Parliamo fuse a revival of rock ‘n’ roll guitar music with the energy of 80s dance music, Parliamo present an exciting take on underground pop. With an ever-increasing live following and a recognition for putting on energetic and memorable live performances, Parliamo play anthems by the youth, for the youth.
