CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF ‘HOMEGROWN’
ANNOUNCE HUGE FEBRUARY & MARCH 2019 UK TOUR SUPPORT FROM BABYBIRD & TONY WRIGHT
“The band are really excited to be playing Homegrown in 2019 – we had such a great time first time around & are looking forward to everyone joining us again” Nigel Clark, Dodgy
Dodgy will play their album HOMEGROWN in full plus other hits on a huge UK tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of their breakthrough, gold-selling second album.
Dodgy were together for seven years in the 90’s, releasing three albums totalling over a million sales worldwide. Their 1994 album Homegrown features the hit single ‘Staying Out for the Summer’ which was the band’s first Top 20 hit single. They quickly followed up in 1996 with album number three ‘Free Peace Sweet’ which spawned the hits ‘In a Room’, ‘Good Enough’ (which is officially one of the most played tracks on British radio in the last 20 years) and ‘If You’re Thinking of Me’.
Fast forward to 2018 and the band are looking forward to celebrating the 25th anniversary of Homegrown and have announced a major tour around the UK including a date at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire. They will be supported on the tour by Babybird who are best known for their Top 5 hit ‘You’re Gorgeous’ from their gold-selling album ‘Ugly Beautiful’ and also Tony Wright, lead singer of UK band Terrorvision, will be opening all the shows with a solo set.
As well as playing Homegrown in its entirety on the 2019 tour, Dodgy will be playing tracks from ‘Free Peace Sweet’, other hits and live favourites.

Over 20 years ago Babybird started with the lo-fi years, consisting of five Stephen Jones solo albums released in a nine month period. This, already without even being signed to a record company, was never going to be something that was part of 1990s indie britpop world. Then an album and single went gold, Stephen was hounded and heckled out of Manchester for being that ‘bleeding gorgeous bloke’, to settle in London. Then with the recent help of Johnny Depp he recorded two albums in LA and the video “Unloveable” (see it on youtube).
Tony Wright is best known as the singer for Bradford rock band Terrorvision. However, when he’s not touring with Terrorvision, he writes, records and tours under his own name with a setlist made up of songs he has written on his acoustic guitar – some upbeat, some melancholic, but all thought-provoking.
To say Tony is a busy man would be an understatement. In addition to his three albums with his post-Terrorvision band ‘LaikaDog’, he has now released two solo albums to date with a third one in the works. ‘Thoughts ’n’ All’ is just Tony and his acoustic guitar. The follow up, ‘Walnut Dash’, released last year brought the evolution of Tony with his acoustic guitar and a full band.
